Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. I would sit for hours by the radio ready to record the latest song on my cassette player. I started playing the guitar when I was 13, learning to play guitar and bass from the hippie family friend who lived in the local Pineywoods of East Texas. After performing bass duties for our 4-piece rock band Milestone/12th Day I moved to Houston, Texas, advancing in songwriting contests and playing bass in various collaborations until moving to the Austin area, where I found my niche as a Singer/Songwriter solo musician playing acoustic guitar and singing my heart out. I have been in the Austin area since 2006 and have performed in multiple concerts, festivals, charity events, and fundraisers; including the Hell or High Water Fundraiser Campaign, the Georgetown Swirl and Red Poppy Fest. I am often performing in duos accompanied by various male and female vocalists and musicians, and also lend my talents to full band and recording projects.
